Had a great weekend . Playing around with my

Iphone . I have been taking a photo a day with 

my Iphone . I am now experimenting with different

apps so it does not become to boring . I am only 29 

days into this and I do not know how I will go 366 days .

It is just another test for myself .

Indigo Weekend

I spent the weekend with Glennis Dolce ( Shibori Girl ) learning

about indigo dyeing and shibori . It was a wonderful class and if

you ever have a chance to take a class with her , do it !  she is a

wealth of knowledge and very generous . I learned just enough 

to know I wanted to take her online class .

 

The class was held at the Japanese American Museum 

in Little Tokyo . So it was fun to walk around and take 

some photos.

Seems to early for spring .

A crazy bike store ...it was full of people .

A lunch trailer , too bad I had already eaten .

I met some friends for dinner on 5th and main.

Nickle Dinner was a cool place and good food . 

Breakfast seemed like it would be extra good .

It was a great weekend . I can't wait to get my

indigo pot going . My head is filled with all kinds of ideas .

More Journal to Fabric Work

  I worked on the idea of the moon first .
I then worked on the fabric . I am happy
how this worked out . I like this idea of recording a idea and then translating it
to fabric . Since it seems ideas can
disappear out of my brain pretty easily
these days , I like this idea of making myself work them out on paper . Since this is a on going process I am able to go back and look at old ideas that i forgot about . I have even added photos to this journal .

Fabric Patterns

This is the pattern that I came up with from

 my watercolor in my journal . I used natural

 linen , indigo blue , green linen & walnut dyed linen .

I dyed this fabric with walnut hulls .

is dyed with coreopsis . the background

is a piece of indigo fabric .

I am starting to get a flow going for my 

Magic cloth . It really is a slow process .
