Power Point

Saturday  I headed to Joshua Tree
for inspiration . I became
euphoric the minute I entered
the park .

I like the rocks and how this
one is balanced . I need
some balancing in my life.

The texture is amazing.
The shapes are wonderful.

This is the roots of a fallen
Joshua tree. I really like the
patterns in the wood.

This reminds me of a painting.
It was on the side of the fallen tree.

The weather was really crazy .
Rain , hail , clouds and sun .
All within a couple of hours.

This is the mountain range I
look at everyday .
I feel lucky I am able
to be inspired by this view.

Studio

I finally got the workroom cleaned.
I decided to take photo's
so i could remember what it
looked like when the job was done .

work table 1 .
these are great trays from
crate & barrel.

I pack them up with
beads , silver and stones
and carry them to where
ever I feel like working.

Work station # 2

Bead storage

Book & project storage

Bead collection

Work station # 3
I do all my raven paintings here.

My display of my sister's ceramic art.
A raven etching bought in Port Townsend.
also a cool  raven in a winged frame
that Andrea gave to me.
It feels really good to have my work
place cleaned . If only it could
stay like that .
I hope everyone has a wonderful
Thanksgiving day.
I know I will .

PT REYES

Devon and I took a
wonderful drive to
Pt Reyes .

We stopped in Samuel P Taylor park.
I saw this drinking fountain and
thought it was nice how it blended
in with all the redwoods.
I love standing in a redwood
grove and breathing in
that pure oxygen.

I saw this house
with these towers
of albalone shells.
Reminds me of a
totem pole.

Loved this sign.
We did not eat here.
We had a wonderful
dinner at Osteria Stellina
with Sam & Micheal.

We finally made it to
the lighthouse , only
to have it closed.
This was the view from
the parking lot.

Someone else was
enjoying the view too.

This was a wonderful weekend
and the drive to Pt Reyes
was the cherry on top.

All Souls Day

This is the Altar we created this weekend
with the shrines we made. I made my mine to
honor my father . I have found making these
shrines each year is a great way to release
grief and remember the people or animal who
is no longer with us.

This shrine was made to honor stephanie's
dog lou . She had been an active member
of our art group since it's beginning.
She will be greatly missed

This shrine was mine .

This was one stephanie made.
This is the one sandy made .

I hope everyone had a great weekend .
I will be back with more photo's of my
altar . I still have work to do on mine.

Nice and Cool

Today actually feels cool around here . It is amazing
how my whole personality changes in cooler weather.
I took this photo in Andover Ma. We would never
have a photo op like this here.

I really miss not having a garden to grow sugar
pumpkins . Thank goodness for farmer's markets.

Fall always makes me think of acorns.
This beauty was in Italy.

These are acorn's I have collected.
The real thing from New Hampshire & Italy,
Glass from Kim Fields , and brass from Gail Crosman Moore .
I love carrying a acorn in my pocket .
Fall means work for me. Lots of creations needing
to be created . I will be happy when it slows down.
I am very thankful that I am still able to come
up with new ideas. Every year I doubt myself ,
then I sit down at my work table and look
at all the things I have made or collected
and the ideas just start to flow. The only
draw back  is , I start thinking of a 100 other
things I want to make that has nothing to
do with what I am suppose to be doing . I wonder
if anyone else has that happen to them ?
This weekend I head to the mountains
with my art group. This is my favorite weekend.
We make "Day of the Dead "shrines.
I will post our projects next week.
Have a great Halloween and grave cleaning weekend !

Fall Weekend

i
It is fall , so out come the photos that make me feel like its
fall . These were taken in Santa Fe last year .

This stream was a wonderful spot to just sit and
listen to the sound of running water .

One journal page from Lake Squam before
my camera died . I have this journal I bought in Venice
that is going to be my journal of my journey
to Lake Squam . I need to do a lot more
work on this . I had planned to use my camera and my
new pogo printer but the universe had other ideas.
I just love a good mercury in retrograde !

And now for Rowan and my weekend.
We spent the weekend in the mountains
With my art buddies , no Dan to take care of him,
so he got to go along . He had a blast !
My girlfriend steph was babysitting two extra dogs beside
her own two . So it was quite the dog fest .
needless to say , I have one very tired dog .
I am looking forward to a productive week.
I hope you have a great one too.

Squam Lake

I took off to Lake Squam
this past week with my buddy
Stephanie. The first thing I
thought of when we arrived
was I had landed in the Parent Trap
movie and I was Haley Mills.
WAHOO !

When we got to the
cabin it was a dream come true.
It was the Parent Trap. I loved this movie when i
was 11 years old. My best friend and I saw
this movie over and over at the Plaza theater.
It is the first 45 record I can remember buying,
" Lets get together " , at Patty's Record store.
We performed this song in Louise's backyard
over and over and over...................

We had 4 days to enjoy the
the grounds of this wonderful camp.
the classes were amazing .the people wonderful.

we even got to see some leaves change color.

This week was only made better
by having gail crosman moore be there.
she and I and steph had a blast together.
it made the week just fly .
I feel so blessed to have had this week.
